First Aid First

​La Chureca is a trash dump located in Managua, Nicaragua. A large community of people live in the dump. They wait for their basic needs to arrive via garbage trucks. They dig through trash to search for food, clothing, and many other goods that they will take to use as their own or sell for money in order to obtain their basic needs. An interesting part of this is that the best trash comes in bags because the ones that can afford them have the best trash. There are other organizations that have taken initiative in this community to make a difference by providing proper shoes and food. Healthcare is a major deficit in this community; there are limited medical resources as of now. First aid kits would begin the cascasde of building healthcare in this region.
